Put this on pretty easily and myChihuahuas scratch like crazy to get it. I have no worries as this has protected the door very well.

Yes
If you have small, medium, or even large dog it will keep your door protected very well. it is a decent thickness, you will need 2 rolls tho to get a good coverage. Is easy to roll out and get the air bubbles with the right tools and patience. I feel like I need to say not to put on dry wall. Probably not super cheap cardboard doors either. I put it on my metallic door and worked great.

Very difficult to use, don’t try it on glass!
I wish I’d read some of the reviews before buying this. It sticks so well that the second it touches something, it’s virtually impossible to get it off. I made the mistake of putting this on a glass door. It was full of bubbles and creases. Took hours to take off because it sticks very very well. I wouldn’t be surprised if it strips finishing or paint off doors when you try to remove it either.

wonderful product, but……..
This product is exactly like listed! it’s a wonderful product with good intentions! and for others it may work, actually i could see it working for people you don’t live in the hot/humid georgia heat in june! because the exterior door i used it on had direct sunlight most of the day and humidity levels off the church it didn’t stay on my door! i followed directions as listed and it was wonderful and was working like a gem until we hit a early summer heat wave! if you live in a different climate i would give it a go!

No scratches in car with two week road trip!’
It succeeded in keeping car vinyl scratch free. However the vinyl did wrinkle a bit in a few places. Maybe the heat did it I am not sure. Maybe I didn’t smooth it out well enough. Still I am happy no scratching!!

Great
I used this on my screen door to keep my cat from destroying it. Works like a charm, and although my cat isn’t happy, I definitely am. Very pleased with this purchase.

It needs improvement.
I need this to apply to my doors because my dog is constantly scratching to go in or out of a door. Just the very bottom of the door. What I don’t like is that it very difficult to apply on the door. It almost requires two people.I also don’t like the shiny surface. It should be no sheen like matted. It’s impossible to apply without a lot of air bubbles. There must be a way to remove the bubbles.

Will pull paint off the walls when removed !!!
If your planning to use this for walls or painted surfaces to protect from pet damages be aware that the tape itself will pretty heavily damage the surface upon removal !! Peeled ALL the paint in its area off our wooden door jams ! Also, there is no protective lining on the sticky part. That makes this very hard to apply without bubbles or damaging the wall, having to rip up and reposition to get it straight.

Impossible to remove from windows
We took in a last minute foster dog that clawed the windows to come in and out. I was impossible to put on smooth so I just went with it. A month later we are keeping this dog so I got a piece of plexiglass. It’s been 2 hours and I’m only 1/10 of the way done. Any tips on how to remove this? I’d rather have a scratched window at this rate!

Trying to cut the tape was difficult. Should have a peel and stick. When you try to cut tape with the back sticky hard to cut.

This stuff is horrible.
It is like a huge roll of clear adhesive tape, after a few months it is coming loose and taking all the paint up with it. We will have to repaint the whole door. It might be ok on a wood surface but do not use on painted surfaces!

So hard to remove
I bought this to keep my dogs from scratching up our back door but they scratched through it pretty fast and now I’m struggling to get it off the door. I need to get out a heat gun or something to loosen the adhesive. It is great for under doors that have carpet though. My cats haven’t even tried to scratch up the carpets since using it.

How do you remove the film
I brought this for my daughter and she installed it and it looks a hot mess. I want to remove it but not sure how to. I have looked and can not find anything saying how to remove this stuff. Is it reusable once you remove it?

Protects the door facing and the walls.
This protective tape helps in more ways than scratches a dog or a cat can do. I use a wheelchair and going around corners can sometimes cause scraped and scratches on door facings and on walls. The scratch proof tape does an excellent job of preventing scraped and scratches from occurring.

very good adhesion but hard to get on straight if working with long strips, bubbles form which are hard get out. HOWEVER, it did help from my door and glass getting scratched which was my main goal.

Great item for dog owners, works great for keeping scratches off the door
I bought this plastic to put on the area of the front door under the door knob. My dog usually lightly paws the door waiting on me to get there, leaving light scratches. After sanding and repainting the door, I added this and problem is solved. Highly recommend for dog owners. I’m sure there are other uses I will come across for those. Will update review as I come across them.

Does the job
Does the job but it’s not as pliable and easy to use as others.
Really love the chair pillow. It stays put on my recliner and doesn’t slide around without any fastners. And it’s super soft material. Highly recommend! Thanks –

Pulled off the paint!
Thought this may be the perfect thing for my back door that the dogs scratch at. With in days it has started to shred off. When I tried to pull it off most of the paint came with it. Replaced it with a metal gaurd. It is working much better.

Works on upholstered furniture too
I’m using this to protect the hard sides of our couch from our cats. Works pretty well, but doesn’t stick as well and I’m assuming it would to a door or wall. Prevents the cats from digging their claws into the couch and forming pulls in the fabric.

Stops kitty scratching fast
Item Reviewed: Door Protector from Dog Scratching 200″ x 8.2″ Cat Scratch Door Frame Single Sided Adhesive Protector Anti Dog Scratch Door Guard for Dogs Clear CHUANGSEEDI went with this option versus a double sided sticky tape roll because cats hate this almost as much as the tape, but this will not attract all the cat hair and debris that double sided sticky tape does. I wanted to wrap the sides and bottom of my upholstered platform bed because my relatively new rescue has just recently decided that it makes the perfect scratching surface. It’s already ruined, but I’m trying to teach him that my bed is off limits before I replace it.The big plus to this roll is that it’s pretty heavy duty compared to traditional tape. And the 8″ length would have been perfect for wrapping my bed had it not been so difficult to keep the roll straight for that long of an area. So I opted to cut it into strips and placed those strips about every 6 inches the entire way around. Kitty attempted to scratch once and it’s been days now without chasing him. So it works exactly as intended. The only drawback, and hence one star removal, is cost. 200 inches is only 5-1/2 yards roughly, so if you are going to ultimately cut it into strips like I did, it will be more cost effective to go with tape. But if you need something heavy duty for a door (as strongly suggested in the listing) or a wooden dresser or something, then this is a good alternative to protect your expensive furniture from sharp claws.

Very thin!
I decided to use this on my front door since one of my dogs has been clawing up the paint every time I leave home due to separation anxiety. I was hoping that this tape would prevent her from causing further damage but sure enough she ended up clawing straight through it on the first day of it being mounted on the door. I was hoping that this protector tape would end up being a thick, vinyl like material but instead it’s no denser than a piece of movers/packing tape. My dog is an XL Cane Corso and unfortunately she easily tore through this but it’s possible that this roll may be more effective with the smaller dog breeds with less strength and smaller claws. Another downside to it was the removal after she caused it to tear. As I was slowly and carefully removing it from our front door it was taking flakes of paint off with it! If you’re still considering buying this to use in your home or on furniture just consider the size and type of animal you plan on using this for. It will likely be useless to those that have large and strong dog breeds like mine. It will probably work best for those that have cats or small to medium sized dogs. Definitely something to consider before you buy.

One sided sticky heavy duty tape
This product comes on a long roll, with adhesive on one side. The tape itself is heavy duty good quality. Since I was intending to use for my cats, I assumed it be sticky on both sides with a peel off backing. It is neither. I feel a backing with cutting grids would make the product easier. It is good for doors and surfaces being used by people who would most likely not appreciate being attacked by sticky tape. I used some of the tape on my exterior door bottom where my cat is scratching to get inside and I have been unable to deter her. That application worked well with no problems. The remainder of the roll was used to surround cedar posts on my back patio. It is a little cumbersome to roll and cut with scissors to the length needed. Note that if the sticky sides adhere to itself, it is nearly impossible to undo.Ringing the rectangular posts with tape was challenging to keep it level and make the ends meet together. However, if the goal is achieved with preventing cats from scratching the woodwork, it will be worth the temporary unattractive look. The verdict is still out if the outsiders will be repelled by the smooth tape.

If your dog chews, add more layer
Our dog has some separation anxiety. We have found scratches at the door. We had pit this on our door and it helps protect the door. He started to try to open the door from the side with his mouth and will see some nibbled spots on the wood. we added two more layers and that stopped him from adding more damage.

Lasted about 2 minutes
My Beagle scratched this a few times, then pulled the rest off with her teeth. Completely useless for my dog. But it could work for a dog who didn’t eat everything as mine does. The tape was very wide and covered the space ok. The seller refunded my purchase when I complained, so they are A+ sellers.

For large white vinyl window sills, look elsewhere
We have a 60″ wide white vinyl window sill that needs to be covered before the dog ruins it. Applying this film is extremely finicky across the entire length without air bubbles or slanting. Tossing the tube and will look for another solution.

I have never written a review before but this is awful
I have an 8 lbs yorkie mix I got from a rescue. He’s started developing separation anxiety and so I decided to protect my doors to be safe. I come home from being gone 3 hours on the first day with this on the door and my dog is wrapped in this glorified door tape and is terrified out of his mind. The tape ripped the paint off my door in some spots and not to mention that my dog scratched through this with the ease of a hot knife through butter. He has a bad back and is not that strong. Don’t buy, save your money.

Not wood finishing friendly!!!
The media could not be loaded.
Used for a puppy who was scratching at the door. Puppy ripped through it(to be expected with the air bubbles.Used this on a wooden door, the doors stain and clear coat came off with the tape. Do not recommended. I now have to refinish the entire back side of my bedroom door.

Will remove all paint from wall or door!! Don’t buy
I put this tape on my doors to prevent my dog from scratching the paint off , since I was renting an apartment and wanted minimal damage . When I went to remove the entire door paint and other layers were ripped off . I am furious . They are trying to charge me for the doors. It should be your giys responsibility to pay for it . False advertising .

NOT GOOD
This stuff is impossible to install without bubbles or creases in the product. It should be a solid color , NOT clear , and once it touches paint it cant be removed without taking the paint with it. great idea to save your doors from scratching pets but this is not what you want to look either. its UGLY after applied !!!
